How to remove the Who Targets Me software

Removing Who Targets Me is simple – you just need to remove the extension. This will stop any further ads being collected.

For Chrome, Edge and Firefox, right-click the extension icon (usually to the right of your browser address bar) and click “Remove…”

For Safari, in the main menu, click Safari > Preferences, then select the ‘Extensions’ tab and uncheck the box next to the Who Targets Me extension. If you wish, you can also delete the Who Targets Me app from your applications folder, as it will no longer be used.

Remember, you can delete the data created by the Who Targets Me extension at any time. Visit https://results.whotargets.me, click the “Delete Data” link in the footer and follow the instructions on screen. This will make the data you’ve contributed unavailable for anonymized academic research.
